Use this VV ULTIMATUM tutorial companion as a first-session route: clear Gelum, choose a faction, follow the early quest loop, save your rerolls, and stop at Level 25 when progression becomes route-specific.
Finish the tutorial, defeat Gelum, check the current codes page once the Shop / code menu is available, choose a faction, follow red main story quests, pick up repeatables, and save rerolls until you know the slot is worth keeping.
Use this as a stop/go route. Do not spend rerolls or commit to a build until you finish the early checks.
Practice movement, blocking, critical attacks, and deflect cues before trying to free-roam.
Open Settings and disable Dangerous missions until you are comfortable with parry timing. Random high-level invasions can wipe a fresh character.
Gelum is the first real skill check. Learn the red AoE, parry normal swings, and punish posture breaks.
Open the current codes list after tutorial / faction setup unlocks the code menu. Check free rewards before spending rerolls.
Use Tab for the quest log, U for the world map and C to sense nearby quest NPCs or interactables.
Pick Quincy for the easiest guided route, Shinigami for the safest classic route, or Hollow if you accept a harder evolution path.
Move toward Soul Society Outskirts, accept visible quests, and use red main story quests as your backbone.
Once Mission Tickets / Soul Pager reports become available, use only what the route requires early and save the rest until you know what your faction path needs.
This is where your route becomes faction-specific: Shikai, Schrift, or Hollow evolution decisions start mattering.
Gelum is the first blocker in the route. Learn one safe response for each attack type, clear the fight, then return to the first-hour checklist.
Practice one parry timing instead of mashing. A clean deflect gives you a safer opening than trading hits.
Leave the danger area rather than trying to block it, then reset your spacing before re-engaging.
Take a short punish after a clear opening. Do not turn one success into a long trade that gives the boss momentum back.
Quincy is the easiest guided route. Shinigami is the safest classic route. Hollow is the high-risk evolution path — save it for alts unless you already know the trait rules.
Best first-slot pick if you want ranged comfort, clearer mission guidance, and a more linear path toward Schrift.
Pick if: you want the easiest learning curve. Safest classic routeBest if you want Zanpakuto, Shikai progression, solo PvE comfort and the most recognizable Bleach fantasy.
Pick if: you want the cleanest classic character. Advanced routeHigher complexity with trait timing, Mask Pop risk, evolution stages, possible Bank Remote restriction, and the Arrancar route.
Pick if: this is an alt slot or you like punishing routes.Still unsure? Use the faction quiz or compare the full tradeoffs on the factions page.
Use videos to see movement, quest flow, UI menus, and boss timing. Use the written tables when you need exact routes, code text, faction names, or reroll warnings.

Finish the tutorial, turn off dangerous missions while learning, defeat Gelum, check the current codes page when the code menu unlocks, choose a faction, then follow main story quests while picking up repeatables.
Treat Gelum as a mechanics check: practice one parry timing on normal swings, dodge red aura attacks, and take a short punish after a safe opening. Use the controls guide for inputs and the Gelum boss page for the full fight.
Quincy is the easiest guided route. Shinigami is the safest classic route for Shikai progression. Hollow is better for experienced players or alt slots.
Check current free codes first, decide whether your faction route is worth keeping, then spend rerolls only after checking clan passives and rarity.
Shinigami starts Shikai progression, Quincy pushes toward Schrift, and Hollow players should understand evolution and trait choices before committing.
Use the dedicated codes page for the current list and redemption troubleshooting instead of relying on a code copied into a general beginner guide.
Only if this is an alt slot or you accept trait timing and mask-pop risk. For a first slot, Quincy or Shinigami is safer.
