How to get Arrancar in VV: ULTIMATUM

Arrancar is the VV: ULTIMATUM Hollow endgame, unlocking Resurrección abilities and locking in your traits permanently. To get Arrancar you must first reach Vasto Lorde, then press L to transform — but the transform resets your base stats, so timing matters. Here's how to do it right.

How to become an Arrancar

Evolve all the way to Vasto Lorde

Climb the full Hollow chain (Menos → Adjuchas → Vasto Lorde). Don't transform early — see the Hollow guide.

Lock in your traits

Traits become permanent once you become an Arrancar. Farm the 4 traits you want at Vasto Lorde first.

Press L to transform

This turns you into an Arrancar (Vastocar) and resets your base stats — so re-equip and re-spec afterwards.

Use Resurrección

Your traits and Resurrección ability only activate in your released Arrancar form.

Important: becoming an Arrancar resets your base stats. Equip your desired Traits before transforming — they cannot be changed afterwards.

VV: ULTIMATUM How to Get Arrancar in VV: ULTIMATUM — FAQ

How do you get Arrancar in VV: ULTIMATUM?

Evolve your Hollow all the way to Vasto Lorde, lock in your four traits, then press L to transform into an Arrancar. The transform resets your base stats.

Does becoming an Arrancar reset your stats?

Yes. Transforming to Arrancar resets your base stats and permanently locks your traits, so prepare your traits and be ready to re-spec first.

Arrancar in PvP and PvE

Arrancar is the payoff for the longest grind in the game, and it shows in the endgame. Your Resurrección release gives a powerful transformed moveset, and your locked-in Traits only switch on while you're released — so an Arrancar's burst windows are tied to release uptime. Traits like Innocuous Presence (which hides your name and Reiatsu and extends Resurrección) make Arrancar a strong ambush class in the Human World PvP zone, while Cero-focused trait setups excel at zoning groups in PvE.

Common Arrancar mistakes

  • Transforming too early. Becoming an Arrancar before Vasto Lorde wastes stats — the transform resets your base stats, so always reach Vasto Lorde first.
  • Forgetting traits are permanent. Once you Arrancar, your four traits are locked. Farm the exact loadout you want beforehand.
  • Ignoring Reserves. Cero and abilities drain fast; keep Reserves high so your release isn't dead weight.
  • Skipping a clan reroll. Cifer (S) dramatically extends your Resurrección — roll for it with free rerolls before committing.

For the full stat, tree and charm setup, see the recommended Arrancar build.

Cero, Bala and Arrancar combat

As an Arrancar your offence revolves around Cero and Bala. Cero is your big charged energy blast — high damage but slow to fire and easy to dodge if telegraphed, which is why aim-helping traits like Tailbone (thinner, +20% damage), Horns (wider) and Back Scales (faster charge) matter so much. Bala trades power for speed: a rapid-fire energy shot for poking and finishing. Both scale with your Kido stat, so a Cero-focused Arrancar wants Kido as its primary stat with a healthy Reserves pool to keep firing.

Your melee comes from the Hakuda tree, the strongest hand-to-hand system in the game, so many Arrancar run a Hakuda + Speed hybrid that can pressure up close and zone with Cero from range. Manage your release uptime: traits such as Dense Muscles and Back Scales extend Resurrección, and the Cifer clan stretches it further — the longer you're released, the longer your traits and Resurrección ability are active. Against groups, Raid Boss and Adrenaline Junkie charms reward staying in the thick of a fight, which suits Arrancar's outnumbered-brawler identity.
